Joseph S. "Joey" Scherer, 19, of Whitehall, died Dec. 25, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born June 14, 1995, in Allentown, he was the son of John Scott Scherer of Whitehall and Anne Edith (Seifert) Scherer of Whitehall.

A 2014 graduate of Whitehall High School, he developed a love and passion for art while a student there.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall.

In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by a brother, Jonathan S. at home; paternal grandmother RuthAnn (Henry) Scherer of Whitehall; and maternal grandmother Goldie B. (Barczy) Seifert of Whitehall.
