Salisbury School District is closed for winter break. School will resume Jan. 5, 2015.

Congratulations to the students who made the cast of Salisbury High School's production of the musical Pippin! The musical will be performed March 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2015.

Attention parents of seniors planning to attend college or technical school. A meeting to learn more about financial aid and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid will be held 6:30 p.m. Jan. 5, 2015 in the SHS library. Michael Burke from Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Association will be available to answer questions and provide information about the process of applying for financial aid. A representative from Universal Technical Institute in Exton will be at the school Jan. 8, 2015 beginning 9 a.m. to meet with students and answer questions about UTI. Interested students should get a pass in advance from Gail Zapf in the school counseling office.

Attention parents and seniors. The deadline for baby photos in this year's yearbook publication is Jan. 30, 2015. Senior portraits to be entered into this year's yearbook are due by Jan. 31, 2015. Forward questions or concerns to SHSpress@salisburysd.org.

Salisbury Model UN is hosting the Winterball 7 to 10 p.m. Jan. 10, 2015. Tickets are discounted in advance and will also be available at the door. The team is also raffling a manicure for Alexia's Nails. Raffle tickets are available from team members.

Juniors will present their graduation projects on the mornings of Jan. 13 and 14, 2015. There will be a two-hour delay for all other students, so students should report to their bus stops two hours later than normal.

A school board operations committee meeting will be held 7 p.m. Jan. 5, 2015, in the administration building.
