NARC Crime Watch meets at Greenawalds Fire Co.

Twenty-five members attended the November Neighbors Are Reporting Crime meeting at the Greenawalds Fire Company.

South Whitehall Township Police Officer Jeff Natysyn, who conducted the meeting, provided the Crime Watch reports for September and October.

Natysyn also explained the Impact Project, designed for first time juvenile offenders.

The Impact Project includes the parents of the offender.

A safe holiday tip "Be Alert and Be Aware" was given to the members.

Keep articles close, especially bags or purses in a car.

Members were advised to put valuables in locked trunks of vehicles.

Use blankets to cover items left on the seats and keep cars locked, Natysyn advised.

Members were reminded if Parkland schools close for early dismissal or because of weather conditions, there will be no Crime Watch meeting.

The next meeting of NARC will be on Jan. 20, 2015.
