Patty Vahey, Whitehall Township Public Library director, was the winning bidder on the silent auction for the Peter Grim Homestead painting held recently at the library. The proceeds will go to the Whitehall Historical Preservation Society. Local resident and gardening enthusiast Rob Williams painted in French impressionist style to promote the garden. Vahey donated the painting to the library and it will be hung near the Pennsylvania and local history section of the library.
