Crystal Taryn Schaller, 17, of Slatington, died on Dec. 9, 2014, from injuries she sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Washington Township.

Born Nov. 4, 1997, in Allentown, she was the daughter of Jamie L. and Rose M. (Kocher) Schaller, with whom she resided.

A junior at Northern Lehigh High School, she was an honor roll student who mentored and tutored fellow classmates.

She played and coached softball, served on the prom committee and was a former assistant basketball coach.

In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by a sister, Amanda M. and her fiancé Kenny L. Gibat of Allentown; maternal grandmother Reba F. (Duraso) Kocher of Wescosville; paternal grandparents Arthur L. and Carolyn B. (Bohun) Schaller of Bath; maternal great-grandmother Willie Mae (Braselton) Ferenczy of Allentown; and many extended family members.
