Suspicious vehicle reported

Police were called Dec. 11 to St. Peter's Church to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle.

According to police, two men were inside a silver automobile.

Police said the two men were waiting for a friend.

Police assist North Catasauqua

Coplay police Dec. 13 assisted North Catasauqua police on two separate occasions.

One incident involved an unwanted intoxicated man at the Arch Street Hotel.

Police said the man later left without incident.

The other situation was related to a domestic call in the 1100 block of Fourth Street, North Catasauqua.

According to reports, Coplay police responded to the call.

Intoxicated man reported

Police responded Dec. 13 at 3:17 a.m. to a report of a man inside the Highlander Laundromat while the business was closed.

Police investigated the matter and discovered it was the owner who was at the premises.

House fire reported

Borough police responded to a house fire Dec. 10 at 115 N. Ninth St.

Smoke and flames were observed coming from the south side of the residence, police said.

The borough fire department and neighboring departments quelled the fire.
