Betty Lou Conkling DelGrosso, Peke Inn waitress

Betty Lou Conkling DelGrosso, 80, of south Bethlehem, died Dec. 9, 2014. Born in Mt. Kipp, N.J., she was a daughter of Florence Hackett. She was the wife of Anthony DelGrosso for 54 years.

She graduated from Phillipsburg HS, where she was a majorette and played the drums in the band.

She was a waitress in various restaurants, and was at the Peke Inn, Phillipsburg, for 24 years. Later, she ran the Lotto machine at Pat's Newsstand.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, David and his wife Lisa of Kunkletown; a daughter, Michele and her husband Rodney Bryant of Austin, Texas; a son, John of Allentown; two daughters, Toni Ann (Itsy) DelGrosso - Sweeney of Saylorsburg and Patti of Bethlehem; three grandchildren, Austyn DelGrosso of Bethlehem and Joshua Smith and Jaymee Gonzales of Austin, Texas; a brother, Judson Hackett III and family of La.; friend, Fritz Schumacher; and an adopted son, Kevin Chee and his wife Sophia and their children, Sara and Cody.

She is predeceased by a son, Rusty Joe Conkling.
