The GFWC PA Woman's Club of Emmaus recently named Justine Coleman as Girl of the Month for October.

Coleman, of Macungie, was recognized for her work in journalism.

Coleman is the editor-in-chief of the Emmaus High School student newspaper "The Stinger" and has received several journalism awards from the Keystone Press Association and the Pennsylvania Press Association.

Coleman also is class treasurer and works part-time jobs at Wesley Works and Dickey's Barbecue Pit.

Coleman plans to study journalism in college and work for a major news organization.
