William G. Rohn Jr., 90, of Bethlehem and formerly of Allenwood, died December 2, 2014 in Alexandria Manor, Bethlehem. Born in Palmer Township, he was a son of the late William G. Sr. and Florence (Kelchner) Rohn. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth C. Rohn for 67 years.
He was in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was part of the color guard for Gen. George Patton (702 Red Devils).
He was an independent truck driver for more than 40 years. He worked on his small farm in Hecktown before retiring.
He was a member of Christ Church U.C.C., Bethlehem.
He is survived by five sons, William G. III of Bethlehem, Edward H. and his wife Lucille of Nazareth, Thomas R. and his wife Heather of Mo., Kenneth C. of Walnutport and John M. of N.J.; two daughters, Barbara R. and her husband Victor Frank of Allentown and Mary C. Cato of N.Y.; a brother, Richard Rohn of Ariz.; a sister, Margaret Koehler of Moore Township.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, Harold and Charles Rohn; and a sister, Gladys Evans.
