Gloria B. Tickner, 93, of North Whitehall Township, formerly of Ocala, Fla., and Freeport, N.Y., died Dec. 6, 2014, in Phoebe Home, Allentown.

She was the wife of the late Howard A. Tickner.

Born Sept. 10, 1921, in the Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Edith (Morrison) Shaw.

She was a teacher's aide for the Freeport N.Y. School District before retiring.

A member of Countryside Presbyterian Church, Ocala, she also was a longtime member of the Freeport Elks Club.

Her survivors include daughter, Lynnette G., wife of Robert C. Allen, with whom she resided; grandchildren Robert and Christopher Allen and his wife, Lisa, Jennifer Carlson and her husband, Geoff, Heather O'Hara and her husband, Patrick; great-grandchildren Caitlin, Mitchell, Bobby and Colby Carlson, Nicole, Madison and Brooklynn Allen, Payton, Shane and Brendon O'Hara.

She was predeceased by a son, Glenn H.

Her memorial service will take place at a future date in Florida.
