The Governor Wolf Historical Society will present a candlelight holiday concert tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m., at the Wolf Academy, 6600 Jacksonville Road.

The program includes Robert Mouland's "Voice of the Winter Wind," Colonial songs and compositions on original Colonial-era instruments.

The concert will address how the holidays were or were not celebrated in early America.

The Kreidersville Covered Bridge Association will hold its annual tree-lighting ceremony on the grounds surrounding the Kreidersville Covered Bridge on Saturday, Dec. 13, 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. In case of bad weather, it will be rescheduled for Dec. 14.

The tree-lighting ceremony will include free cookies and hot chocolate, a bonfire, caroling and a special visit from Santa, who will arrive aboard an Allen Township fire truck. Students from Good Shepherd Elementary School will sing carols.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Kreidersville, will hold a cookie sale and Christmas boutique on Saturday, Dec. 13, 9 a.m.-noon.

The homemade cookies will be sold by the pound.
