Alfred R. Lane, 76, of Orefield, died Nov. 30, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving and dedicated family.

The husband of Bernadette L. (Bevich) Lane for 46 years, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mary E. (Slonaker) Lane.

He was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church, Allentown.

A 1956 graduate of Parkland High School, he honorably served in the U.S. Army, and later worked in administration for PP&L for more than 40 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Kevin and his wife, Ruth, of Arlington, Va., and Jason at home; and a sister Dolores Buffham and her husband Bryan.

He was predeceased by his sister Joan Ann Milam.
