Man arrested

in South Whitehall

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Asaad H. Myers, 32, of Allentown, was taken into custody and arrested 10:15 a.m. Nov. 30 after an attempt to stop him for failing to do his duty in an emergency response area at Routes 22 and 309, South Whitehall Township.

Police allege Myers struck a vehicle on the Route 22 off-ramp to Cedar Crest Boulevard and did not stop. He stopped his vehicle and fled on foot at Cedar Crest Boulevard and Edinburgh Road, before being arrested at the intersection of Woodlawn and Marshall streets, police say.

Myers was charged for fleeing and eluding, hit and run and several other summary offenses before District Judge Jake Hammond, South Whitehall Township.
