South Whitehall's Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony wiil take place 5-7 p.m. Dec. 6 at the township building, 4444 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall.
The community is invited for a night of singing, celebration and remembrance at the 37th annual event.
The evening will begin with holiday music by the St. Joseph Worker Choir, followed by Erin Kelly performing a few Christmas sing-a-longs and a special dance performance by the Studio West Dance Centre.
Susan Sottilare will offer free air-brush tattoos for children.
In addition to children activities, there will be Christmas story time will be provided by Parkland Community Library for all the kids, horses from Manito Equestrian Center, arts and crafts, popcorn and warm holiday refreshments of hot chocolate and hot cider as well as homemade sweets.
Santa will be on hand to lead the countdown and take a seat following the lighting so children can sit on his lap and receive a Christmas gift.
