Covenant United Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive, invites the community to its Covenant Crazy Christmas Competition this Sunday, Dec. 7, from 3 to 5 p.m.

This is a family event featuring contests for the best festively dressed costume, gingerbread house making and Christmas caroling.

Also, Covenant UMC is presenting its Christmas cantata entitled "Canticles in Candlelight" Sunday, Dec. 14, at 10:30 a.m.

This piece uses music, scripture, narration and the lighting of candles to convey the story of Jesus' birth. Traditional carols are mixed within and the congregation is invited to sing along.

Moore Township became the first township in Pennsylvania to adopt a resolution (#2014-12) expressing opposition to the proposed pipeline to be built through the township.

Moore Township is selling handcrafted Westerwald pottery mugs to benefit the 250-year celebration coming up in 2015.

Each mug is unique, with a different painting on the front.

They are available for purchase at the township building located at 2491 Community Drive or at Latteman's Corner Store located at the intersection of Routes 987 and 946 in Klecknersville.

Moore Elementary School PTA is holding a holiday party this Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. noon.

There will be holiday treats, entertainment and a visit from Santa, who will be bringing a special gift for every child attending.
