Florentine R. Gourniak, 91, of Ormrod, died Nov. 25, 2014, in her home.

She was the wife of the late Michael J. Gourniak.

Born Sept. 24, 1923, in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Lewis L.W. Jr. and Jennie M.A. (Stettler) Steckel.

She was a sewing machine operator at the former Cross Country Clothes, Northampton, for 10 years before retiring.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Northampton.

Her survivors incude a son, James M. Sr. at home; daughter Jane E. Smith-Decker and her husband, Conrad, of Millersburg; sister Dorothy A. Blank of Wall Township, N.J.; grandsons James M. Jr. and Rahn M. Smith.

She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey, and a sister Shirley J. Warm-kessel.
