Donald J. "Donnie" Bachman, 78, of Harrisburg, previously from Kempton, died peacefully Nov. 30, 2014, in his home.

Born June 7, 1936, in Heidelberg Township, he was the son of the late Payson E. and Edna B. (Leaser) Bachman.

He was employed at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 41 years before retiring in 1995.

His survivors include a son Brian K. and his son, Payson, with whom he resided; twin daughters Cynthia A. Billet and her husband, Steven, and Cheryl L. Wolf and her husband, Wayne, all of Harrisburg; brothers Wilmer and Carl, both of Walnutport; sisters, including his twin Doris Oertner of Slatington, Arlene Dombroski of Jim Thorpe, Lillian Bachman of Allentown; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; six step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by brothers Kermit and Harold.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Dec. 5, in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. James D. Robison Jr. officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Friedens Cemetery, Kempton.
