State police searching for Whitehall woman

Investigators continue to search for Jessica Padgett, who disappeared from Northampton Nov. 21.

In a statement issued Monday, Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said he has requested a meeting with Pennsylvania State Police for a briefing on the investigation into the disappearance.

"I am deeply concerned about what happened to this woman and I want to be sure that everything is being done to find her, hopefully, unharmed in any way," Morganelli said.

Padgett, a Whitehall resident, was last seen Friday around 1 p.m. when she left her place of employment, Duck, Duck Goose Daycare in Northampton, says the Facebook page "Help Find Jessica Padgett."

Her car was located by the Dollar General Store in Northampton.

She was last seen wearing a black Duck Duck Goose hoodie that says "staff" on the back and gray sweat pants, according to the Facebook page. She had her brown hair in a ponytail.

Her cell phone was found in her car.

"We have contacted all hospitals in the area in search of her," says the Facebook page. "We continue to pray, and ask you to do the same, that she is brought home safe, and soon."

Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is asked to call state police at Bethlehem at 610-861-2026.
