Richard H. Bachman, 74, of Slatington, died on Nov. 16, 2014, in Palmerton Hospital, after being stricken at home.

He and his wife Jean M. (Christman) Bachman were married 52 years last July 28.

Born Sept. 20, 1940, in New Tripoli, he was the son of the late Correll and Arlene J. (Rauch) Bachman.

A lifelong farmer in the areas of Washington and Heidelberg townships, he also worked at Heidel Hollow Farms, Heidelberg Township, for the last 25 years.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Donna J. Pfrom and her husband, Guy, of Slate-dale, Steven R. Bachman and his wife, Kimberly, of Slatington; siblings Kermit of Gainesville, Fla., Sally Hoffner and LeRoy, both of Slatington, Nancy Bachman of Gilchrist, Texas; and granddaughter Kristy L. Pfrom.

He was predeceased by brothers, Roger and Charles.
