Every Veterans Day, Applebee's restaurant invites veterans and active duty military to come have a meal on them. It is their way of saying thanks for their service.

According to General Manager Mike Rader at the Cedar Crest Boulevard location, over 685 veterans and active duty personnel were served Nov. 11. Applebee's has been participating in this program for seven years.

As veterans and active duty personnel arrived, they were asked to sign a "Wall of Honor" which they hang in their restaurant. There were also volunteers giving out coffee, bracelets, pins and cards of thanks.
