State Police Troop M Fogelsville say Susan E. Kistler, 52, of Kempton was driving a 2007 Toyota RAV-4 sport utility vehicle when it hit several shrubs and bushes 7:50 p.m. Oct. 15 at 1587 Siegfriedale Road, Weisenberg Township.

According to police, the SUV was traveling south on Siegfriedale Road at the intersection of Helffrich Road when it subsequently crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane of travel.

It then exited the roadway at the southern corner of Helffrich Road before hitting the shrubs and bushes.

The SUV came to a final rest in the bushes with the right side of the vehicle nearly touching the ground, police say.

Police say Kistler, who was allegedly not wearing her seat belt, sustained injury and was transported by Cetronia Ambulance Corps to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Kistler was charged with driving her vehicle at an unsafe speed.
