Mildred M. Kunkel, 102, formerly of Kempton, died Nov. 14, 2014, in Kutztown Manor nursing home, Kutztown.

She was the widow of the late George R. Kunkel who died in 1996.

Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Mary R. (Gildner) Sittler.

She and her husband were co-owners of a family farm in Albany Township from 1940-86.

She was the oldest member of the New Bethel Church, Kempton.

Her survivors include sisters Mabel F. Heckler of Allentown and Anna M., wife of Merrit Smith, of Kutztown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters Marie R. Henry and Helen S. Follweiler.
