Herbert K. Schick, 82, of Kutztown, died Nov. 15, 2014, in his home.

He and his wife Annamarie (Grummt) Schick celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in July.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Karl and Emma (Kiedaisck) Schick.

A self-employed farmer in Greenwich Township, he operated Schick Farms.

He was the former chairman of the Greenwich Township Planning Commission and a member and treasurer of the Pa. Pork Producers Council.

He also was a member of Jacob's Church, Jacksonville, Lynn Township.

He served his country honorably and faithfully as a member of the U.S. Navy from 1953-55.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Cynthia M., wife of Thomas Merkey, of Alburtis; sons, Otto K. and his wife Renee Schick and Paul H. and his wife Susan, all of Kutztown; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brother Elmer.

His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Nov. 21, in Jacob's Church, 8373 Kings Highway, New Tripoli, with calling hours beginning 9:30 a.m.

The Rev. Scott L. Shay will officiate. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
