The Lower Macungie Middle School Student Council is sponsoring its annual "Be an Angel" collection Dec. 6 through 17.

Students are asked to donate personal care items such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, hand lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hair brushes, combs and shaving cream; baby items such as diapers, wipes, bottles and lotions; and children's items including crayons, coloring books, puzzles, markers, books and small toys.

The collected items will be distributed at local soup kitchens Christmas Day to help those in need.
