Rudolph F. Nickisher

Rudolph "Rudy" F. Nickisher, 92, of Fullerton, died Nov. 1, 2014, in the Phoebe Home, Allentown, where he was a guest since 2010.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Kopfer) Nickisher.

He was a 1941 graduate of Allentown High School.

He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the south Pacific aboard the submarine USS Tunny.

He was a carpentry inspector at Bethlehem Steel Corporation for more than 30 years until retiring in 1982.

He was a member of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall.

He was a member of Fullerton American Legion Post 367 and the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II Association.

He is survived by a nephew, Frank L. Nickisher of East Brunswick, N.J., along with his family.

He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
