Arthur H. Keiser Jr.

Arthur H. "Pap" Keiser Jr., 79, a longtime resident of Slatington, died peacefully Nov. 5, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of Elizabeth (Koren) Keiser Wuchter of Northampton and the late Arthur H. Keiser Sr.

He and his wife Betty J. (Williams) Keiser were married 59 years.

A 1953 graduate of Northampton High School, he proudly served as a corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a member of Allen O. Delke American Legion Post 16, Slatington.

Known as "Pappy" in racing circles, he was a longtime race official at many local tracks.

A skilled welder working more than 40 years at Mack Trucks in No. 3 machine shop, he owned Art's Auto Repair at his home for over 33 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived sons Terry L. Keiser and his wife, Debbie, of Orefield, Todd L. Keiser of Slatington; daughters Tammy L. Donmoyer and her husband, George, of Walnutport, Tina L. Walters and her husband, Ray A. Jr., of Slatington; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister Elizabeth Keller of Northampton; brother Robert Keiser and his wife, Rita, of Kunkletown.

He was predeceased by a grandson.

His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Nov. 22, in Star Hose Fire Co. No. 1 7748 Penn St., Emerald, with the Rev. Michael J. Bodnyk officiating.

This will be followed by a time of food and fellowship until 6 p.m. Interment will be private.
