Freedom: NHS inductees

The Freedom HS National Honor Society will induct 118 juniors and seniors (the largest group in FHS history) to the chapter Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. ceremony in the FHS auditorium. Rob Thomas, a FHS '78 graduate, will deliver the keynote address. A reception follows the ceremony.

Thomas Jefferson: Spirit Day observed

The students and staff at Thomas Jefferson ES participated in Fall Spirit Day Oct. 31. Students from Liberty's fall sports teams, cheerleaders, band members and Big Brothers and Big Sisters participated in a pep rally to support the Liberty versus Freedom football game played that weekend.

Freedom: Curtains opens Nov. 6

This multi-Toni Award winning musical comedy is a parody of the 1950s "whodunit" theater mysteries, where a lone Boston police detective investigates a series of murders that have taken place behind the scenes of a fictional 1950s cowboy musical, "Robbin Hood." Hanover: Veterans Day ceremony Nov. 11

Hanover ES will be honoring local veterans at its annual Veteran's Day Celebration Nov. 11 at 9:30 a.m. Rep. Marcia Hahn will be attending the celebration honoring the veterans, as well as Liberty Brass Ensemble and Liberty Bagpipers. Hanover Singers will also lead the school in song in order to celebrate our local heros.

BASD: Free concert for MS students

There will be a free in-school concert by The Pennaylvania Philharmonic state-wide orchestra on Nov. 7 for middle school students in the Bethlehem Area School District. There will be public concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 in Baker Hall at the Zoellner Arts Center.Visit http://paphilharmonic.org/index.html.

Liberty: Football videographer honored

Liberty HS held a ceremony to honor the late John W. "Jack" Guidon during the halftime game Oct. 24, against Central Catholic at Bethlehem District Stadium.

NCC Chess competition
