The AARP Lower Macungie Chapter # 4150 meeting noon in the community room of the Lower Macungie library building, 3450 Brookside Road, and features entertainment by Gordon Memories. The menu includes hoagies with coffee or tea for a charge. Meetings are normally held on the first Thursday of each month. The Young Musicians of the Allentown Music Club recital 2 p.m. at the ArtsQuest Center in Steel- Stacks, Bethlehem. The performers will celebrate American composers and will play pieces exclusively by them. New members are welcome. The event is open to kids six through 18 who are currently studying with a private teacher and wish to showcase their talents on a musical instrument and/or voice. Hoch is an award winning author and a mentor with the Veterans' Mentor Program, sponsored by Lehigh County District Attorney James Martin. Hoch has recently helped to open a home in Pennsburg for his fellow veterans.
