LaRue V. Peiffer, 83, formerly of New Tripoli, died Oct. 25, 2014, Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill.

She was the widow of Claude A. Peiffer.

Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Irwin L. and Carrie (Ziegler) Leibensperger.

She was a sewing machine operator at various factories in the Lehigh Valley for 40 years before retiring in 1986.

Her survivors include a daughter Claudia D., wife of William Emery Sr., of Macungie; sisters Alice K. Pennepacker of Kutztown, Nancy Schlegel of New Tripoli; grandson Chris; step-grandson William Jr.; and step-great-granddaughters Alexis and Arielle.

Services will be 11 a.m. Oct. 30, at Keller Funeral Homes Inc., 6776 Madison St., New Tripoli.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m.

Interment will be at Ebenezer Cemetery.
