Elizabeth J. Armbruster, 93, formerly of Abington, died Oct. 22, 2014, in Luther Crest Health Care Center, South Whitehall Township.

She was the wife of the late Herman Armbruster.

Born Oct. 28, 1920, in Audubon, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Earl K. and Anna (Berry) Mann.

She was a tax examiner for the IRS office in Philadelphia for 14 years before retiring in 1981.

A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kutztown Ward, she and her late husband served as church missionaries in England and Wales from 1981-82.

Her survivors include a daughter Ann Louise Thompson and her husband, Lewis, of Macungie; son Drew P. and his wife, Elizabeth, of San Antonio, Texas; daughter-in-law, Judi Armbruster, of Newburgh, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was precedeased by a son, David E.
