The Rt. Rev. Chris Giesler, pastor of Edgeboro Moravian Church, was very much looking forward to sharing the 100th anniversary banquet held on Oct. 18 at the East Hills Moravian Church. In what should have been a joyful ending to the culmination of the one-year celebration, there was sorrow amidst the milestone. Unfortunately he was unable to attend because his sister, who lives in North Carolina, passed away.

In this difficult time with dealing with the loss of his sister, Pastor Giesler's wife Tina, whose parents live in Pennsylvania, also lost her father on the same day, which was supposed to be her time of celebration, because it was her birthday.

Notwithstanding, Tina Giesler was able to join the celebration along with her mother, Ruth Schoeller. The church members and community pulled together to share their grief and all thoughts and prayers went out to them.
