Spider causes rear-end crash
Coplay police on Oct. 25 responded to a report of a woman who struck the rear of another vehicle on Chestnut and North Front streets.
Melissa Moser, of Hellertown, was driving eastbound on Chestnut Street at 2 p.m. when she stopped her vehicle to allow two pedestrians to cross the street.
A 17-year-old female was the operator of a car behind Moser's vehicle. She told police she looked down to remove a spider from her hand and when looking back up she struck Moser's car.
No one was hurt, police said.
The teenager's vehicle incurred minor damage.
Vehicle keyed
A resident of the 100 block of North Sixth Street, Coplay, reported to police Oct. 23 someone keyed the driver's side, front and rear doors on her 2007 Ford Explorer.
The incident took place on Oct. 21 or Oct. 22, according to police.
