Ronald M. Lundberg
Ronald M. Lundberg, 72, of Macungie, formerly of Carmel, N.Y., died peace- fully in his home Oct. 21, 2014, surrounded by his devoted family. He was the husband of Barbara J. (Nyce) Lundberg. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in June. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late Edwin and Marjorie (Whitehead) Lundberg.
He was a middle school teacher in Yorktown Heights, N.Y. for 40 years until retiring in 2003. He was a born educator and many of his former students have remained in contact with him over the years, which brought great joy to him knowing he had played a part in their success in life.
He graduated in 1959 from Carmel High School and earned a bachelor's degree at SUNY Oneonta, N.Y. and a master's degree from SUNY New Paltz, N.Y.
While a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Kisco, N.Y., in addition to being very active in the music program there, he was instrumental in the installation of a von Beckerath pipe organ. After moving to Macungie in 2010, he became a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown where he was very active in the chancel choir and music program.
He taught English and Citizenship courses to Burmese refugees at First Presbyterian. His work with them was very rewarding to him and was greatly appreciated by the refugees, many of whom became his friend and have become American citizens as a result of his tutelage.
He is survived by his wife; daughter Jennifer and her husband Domminick Martiniello, of Airmont, N.Y.; son, Jeremy and his wife Christina, of Lovettsville, Va.; brother Edwin and his wife Lenore, of Carmel, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Anders Lewis, Matilda Lewis, Emily Martiniello, Dominick Martiniello, Holden and Siena.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Nov. 8 in the sanctuary at the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, 3231 W. Tilghman St., Allentown.
