What is the most pressing issue facing the 131st District?
The most pressing issue facing the 131st District is the need for continued economic and job growth. We have made progress since I took office and, in fact, unemployment is the lowest it has been in six years. However, we can and must do more because a thriving economy creates good-paying jobs for families and provides increased revenue to the state without the need for tax increases. This revenue can then be used to fund priorities like education, as well as meet challenges like those brought on by the broken pension system - all of which, in turn, helps us from increasing the burden on taxpayers.
