John L.G. Muth, 84, of Breinigsville died Oct. 18, 2014, at home.
He and his wife Pauline E. (Bleiler) Muth were married 58 years in June.
He was an electrician for Mack Trucks, 5C, Allentown, for 32 years before retiring.
Born in Mertztown he was the son of the late William H. and Verna C. (Smith) Muth.
A charter, life member and past commander of the Robert M. Fegely VFW Post 8282, Breinigsville, he also was a life member of Good Will Fire Company No. 1, Trexlertown, serving with the fire police for 20 years.
An Army veteran, he served 1948-52 in the Marshall Islands at the atomic bomb testing site during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Trexlertown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Bonita A., wife of Joseph Wade, of Reading, Brenda L., wife of the late Lt. Col. Mark P. Phelan, of Green Lane; brother Eugene E. of Orefield; sister Nancy V. Yeakel of Seisholtzville; son-in-law Joseph Klitsch; grandchildren April, Bradley and Jared; and great-grandchildren Shaelyn, Braedon, Cora and Aubree.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 23, in Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville.

Interment with military and firefighter's honors to follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Trexlertown.
