Dorothy S. Heist, 89, of Allentown, died Oct. 21, 2014, at home.

She was the wife of the late Robert E. Heist who died in 1985.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Frank T. and Florence S. (Snyder) Swain.

She was a receptionist at Sacred Heart Medical Building for 22 years before retiring in 2010.

Her survivors include sons Robert E. and his wife, Diane O., of Cresco; Brad D. and his wife Michele M. of Allentown; daughters Judith H., wife of Bruce B. Schmoyer, of Lancaster; Suzanne, wife of David M. Stever, of Schnecksville; brotherRobert and his wife Madelaine of N.Y.C.; eight grandchildren, Pamela, Douglas, Timothy, Mindy, Ryan, Christian, Jessica and Nicholas; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Lonnie, and brother, Frank T. Swain.

Her memorial service will be 2 p.m. Oct. 24, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown.

Burial in Cedar Cemetery, Cetronia. A calling hour will begin 1 p.m.
