Dennis L. Kunkle, 63, of Lehighton, formerly of Slatington, died Oct. 17, 2014, in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.
He and his wife Carol A. (Van Blargan) Kunkle were married 41 years.
Born Nov. 17, 1950, in Lehighton, he was the son of the late Curtis M. and Joyce M. (Andreas) Kunkle.
He faithfully and honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era.
He was a dispatcher at Cetronia Ambulance Corps, South Whitehall Township since 1987.
Prior to that, he was an assembly line worker at Mack Trucks Inc., Macungie for 17 years.
He was a member of St. John's Towamensing Lutheran Church, Palmerton.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Jonathan L. and his wife, Kathryn, with whom he resided, Joseph L. and his wife, Shannon, of Lehighton; brothers Brian A. of Tobyhanna, Cory C. and his wife, Carey, of Slatington; and grandchildren Haley, Angela, Zachary and Erika.
His funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Oct. 23, in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Jody L. Neifert officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow the service at Jordan Lutheran Church Cemetery, Orefield.
