Allen Township hopes to resolve traffic issues on Bullshead and Willowbrook roads.
Motorists now park their vehicles along both roads at the Catsauqua High School campus to attend soccer and athletic events.
Township supervisors, at a September meeting, discussed the problem of blocked driveways and poor visibility at intersections caused by some vehicular parking.
Representatives of the township's engineering firm, Hanover Engineering, met with CHS officials. Another session is planned in the future.
No recommendations were offered for no-parking signs on the opposite side of the school grounds. Enforcement was discussed, however.
The township does not have a police department and relies on state police when needed.
Jim Millot of Hanover Engineering, who is assisting the township, said if CHS installs 100 feet of fencing off the roads, it would be easier for people to park on the upper school lots.
Millot said he understands such a project would involve funding.
Catasauqua Youth Athletic Association uses high school fields for its youth soccer program.
The supervisors planned to seek imput from school officials and discuss the situation again.
