Bethlehem Catholic has their sights back on claiming championship medals this week, as the Golden Hawks look to win their third straight District 11 2A title when the tournament kicks off tomorrow night.

Becahi enters as the top seed and hosts eighth seeded Pine Grove at 5:30 p.m. Thursday night.

It's a matchup that head coach Paul Abi-Daher knows should be a contest that advances his team into next Tuesday's semifinal round, presumably against fourth seeded Central Catholic, who square off against fifth seeded Panther Valley.

"It's unfortunate that both of us will probably meeting the semis," said Abi-Daher of the Vikings. "This is now two years in a row that would happen and we really see Central as the other top competition in 2A."

Becahi lost to Emmaus in four games (25-22, 20-25, 22-25, 15-25) during last week's EPC semifinals to give the Hawks some adversity heading into their postseason stretch of competition, which isn't something that Abi-Daher is totally against.

"I think it's something that we can use to our benefit," he said. "We learned that we can't take our foot off the pedal after winning the first game. I think we got a little too comfortable after that first win."

Liberty (12-5) enters Thursday night's clash of districts as the fifth seed, as they visit fourth seeded Nazareth (13-5).

The Hurricanes lost to Nazareth in four games on October 10 and will look to get some revenge in the quarterfinal round of districts.

The winner of this contest will most likely see top-seeded Parkland in the semifinals.

The East Penn Conference also announced league all-stars last week and Becahi's Jordan Young came away as MVP of the league. Below is the complete of all-stars.
