CENTRAL CATHOLIC COLUMN Details of Senior Week events released

Central Catholic Seniors will participate in a series of events dubbed "Senior Week" Oct. 27 through 31 .

The week is filled with various activities and events for seniors.

Main events include Senior Olympics, a scavenger hunt and a costume competition.

Senior Olympics is an event in which members of the graduating class participate in various events in the school parking lot. The top three teams win cash prizes. Seniors can make teams of up to six people who will participate in various events including relay races and other similar activities. "Olympic" events are held after school.

The scavenger hunt is where teams of six compete to follow various clues hidden throughout the school. Contestants take pictures of the clues. The teams to complete the scavenger hunt the fastest win prizes.

The week ends with the costume competition. Seniors can dress up either in groups or individually in their favorite costumes. Students and teachers will vote on their favorite individual and group costume for various prizes.

These are only a few of the activities the seniors will take part in during Senior Week. The event is a way for seniors to have fun and celebrate their last year of high school with friends. Weeks of planning go into this special week to ensure events run smoothly. Senior Class President Geri Stanus has been in charge of organizing the week in collaboration with the school administration.

"This is definitely going to be a week to look forward to for the seniors," Stanus said. "We've taken a lot of ideas from the past and built on them. Along with input from the class of 2015, everyone can expect to have a great time the entire week."
