Police assist in Whitehall
Coplay Police Oct. 11 assisted Whitehall Police in responding to a call about a domestic dispute in the 500 block of Stone Terrace.
Borough police stood by with one of the involved parties while Whitehall officers spoke to the other, police said.
Car door left open
Shortly after midnight Oct. 13, police were called about a car door found open in the 100 block of Ninth Street.
The responding officer said everything seemed to be in order. The owner was contacted and said it was an oversight, police said.
Vehicles struck
An Oct. 8 motor vehicle crash brought police to the 100 block of South Second Street.
A 2007 Chevrolet operated by Nicole Walsh of Coplay struck two parked cars, police said.
The legally parked vehicles, police said, are owned by Jeffrey Harrigle and Lauren Hemsley. Police are investigating the incident.
Fraud reported
Police are investigating a report of a credit card fraud reported Oct. 8.
The victim was notified by her bank that two purchases were made in California. The victim had not made the purchases, police said.
Package taken
Police Oct. 8 responded to a reported theft in the 1000 block of Barbara Drive.
The homeowner reported a package delivered by UPS earlier in the day had been stolen, police said.
Fire reported
Police responded to a report of a transformer fire Oct. 7 in the 100 block of North Front Street.
Police said on arrival they found an electrical wire down across the road. PPL was notified. Coplay Fire Department also was on the scene.
Noise reported
Police Oct. 7 were sent to the unit block of North Third Street for a report of an unknown person in a home.
The caller told police he thought he heard someone inside when returning to the residence. Officers checked and found everything secure, police said.
Door left open
Police were called Oct. 7 to check a residence in the 800 block of Barbara Drive because a back door was open and no one was home.
Officers checked the home and found everything in order, police said.
CO2 alarm
summons police
A sounding carbon monoxide detector Oct. 6 brought police to the unit block of North Fifth Street.
The fire department also responded and handled the situation, police said.
Online scam reported
Police are investigating a scam which began on an Internet site and was reported Oct. 6.
Police said the victim made friends with another person online and then was asked to help with a business venture.
Police said the victim was promised triple the money sent to cover a shipment but has not received reimbursement.
