Benjamin F. Wiatr, 84, of Allentown, died Oct. 6, 2014, in Luther Crest, South Whitehall.
He and his wife Doris M. (Kale) Wiatr celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 4.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Kiebala) Wiatr.
A 1947 graduate of Palmerton High School, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Penn State University in 1952.
He worked for Mack Trucks from 1955-85, retiring as chief engineer of construction vehicles.
He was past president of Ring 32 International Brotherhood of Magicians.
He served as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a stepson Mark J. Wagner and his wife, Jane, of Kutztown; granddaughters Heather and her husband, Giovanni; Kearra and her husband, Joshua; great-grandchildren, Wagner, Lucia and Isabella.
He was predeceased by a brother, Ted, and sisters Mary and Julia.
His memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Oct. 18, in Trexler Funeral Home 1625 Highland St., Allentown.
Calling will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial with military honors will immediately follow at Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall.
