Margret Marie Sophie (Janssen) Hilken, 78, formerly of Bangor and Morris Plains, N.J., died on Sept. 30, 2014, at Westminster Village, where she was residing.
She was the wife of the late Friedrich Hilken.
Born May 1, 1936, in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Hermann and Kathe (Freitag) Janssen.
She and her late husband owned and operated the former Hahn's Bakery in Roxbury/Denville, N.J., for 22 years before retiring in 1999.
She was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall, and Germania Park in New Jersey.
Her survivors include children Ralph Hilken and wife Theresa of Narvon, Mark Hilken of Whitehall, Martina M. Chertok and husband, Paul, of Lowhill Township, Haide M. Krygoski and husband, Robert, of Flanders, N.J., Kirstin A. Mahony and husband William of East Stroudsburg; siblings, Volker Janssen and wife Giesela and Silke Engberts and husband Fritz, all of Bremen, Germany; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
