With the Tuesday, Oct. 21 Coplay Recreation and Welfare Association's community Halloween Parade approaching, the deadline for registering is tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 10, via email at coplayhalloweenparade@yahoo.com.

The rain date is Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Favorite musical bands will again be in the parade lineup, including the Whitehall High School Zephyr Marching Band, the East Hills Middle School, the Rajah Temple Oriental Band, the Allentown Hobo Almost Marching Band and the Wind Gap Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps.

Coplay Town Watch Properties of Merit will hold an awards reception this Saturday, Oct. 11, 6 p.m. at Samuel Owens Restaurant, Secon and Chestnut streets.

Ten finalists and naming if the winning property will highlight the evening's program.

Coplay Councilman and former Mayor Bill Leiner Jr. will present to a borough resident the Mayor's Award.

National Feral Cat Day will be observed in the borough Thursday, Oct. 16.

The town's feral cat committee will celebrate the event at a 6 p.m. dinner at Samuel Owens Restaurant.

Those present will receive a $5 reduction for their entrée order as a gift from the feral cat committee

Free swimming for borough residents is available at the Whitehall High School pool available through Nov. 12, Mondays and Wednesday evenings.

Family swim will take place 7-8 p.m. and adult swim 8-9 p.m.

Children 10 and under must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian.

Photo identification noting borough residency is required.
