The Catty field hockey team blanked Lehighton on Monday 3-0, a game after qualifying for the District 11 playoffs.

Morgan Meckes had a busy day for the Roughs, scoring all three goals in the win.

Catty got off to a 2-0 lead in the first half. Meckes' first goal came from Quinn Bachman to make it 1-0 and then Shiloh Sziy got in the action passing to Meckes for her second goal.

In the second half, Soriana Salloum and Meckes hooked up to make it 3-0.

Catty outshot the Indians 13-3 and Tiffany Murawski made three saves to earn the shutout.

The girs blanked Salsibury 4-0

Catty needed this game to earn a District 11 playoff spot and got out to a 1-0 lead thanks to a Shiloh Sziy goal on a pass from Morgan Meckes. That was all the scoring in the first half before CHS opened things up in the second half.

The Roughs scored three in the second half to pull away for the win.

Meckes got Catty a 2-0 lead with an unassisted goal, followed by another unassisted goal off the stick of Quinn Bachman to make it 3-0. Bachman would scored the fourth goal on an assist from Gabby Bachman.

The girls outshot the Falcons 19-1 in the game. Tiffany Murawski made one save in the win.

Catty pulled away from Northwestern for a 5-1 win.

Shiloh Sziy and Gabby Bachman got Catty on the board in the first half for a 2-0 lead. Both goals were assisted by Quinn Bachman.

In the second half, Catty pulled out a 5-0 lead before the Tigers finally got on the board. It was Sziy again who started things off to make it 3-0. Her goal was assisted by Jackie Garner. Quinn Bachman scored unassisted to make it 4-0 before Olivia Scholfer made it 5-0 on a pass from Soriana Salloum.

The Tigers Courtney Page cut it to 5-1.

Tiffany Murawski saved two shots for the win as Catty outshot NW 23-4.

Boys soccer

Catty got out to a 3-2 first half lead before falling to Bangor 5-4.

The Slaters led 1-0 thanks to a Paxton Ramsey goal from Tyler Learn, but Catty would tie it at 1-1 thanks to Majed Salama' tally from Stone Vass.

Bangor went ahead 2-1 on a Matt McCoy score off an assist from Evan Ippolitto. But Catty answered back and took the lead. They tied it on Joe Harakal's penalty kick score and then went up 3-2 on Vassa's goal, which was assisted by Nick Rossnagle.

But Bangor had a big second half scoring three-straight goals to take the lead 5-3. Tim Ferguson, Ramsey and Matt Koresh found the back of the net before an own goal gave CHS its fourth goal.

Bangor outshot Catty 17-10 and Catty fell to 7-10 with the loss.

Salisbury beat Catty 3-2.

The Falcons scored three times in the first half and then held on at Catty mounted a comeback that fell just short.

Connor Wagner scored two for Salisbury and Ben Heydt added the third goal. Wagner assisted on the Heydt's goal and Dan Walters and Ethan Heydt also picked up assists.

Stone Valley and Nick Rossnagle put Catty on the board in the second half with unassisted goals.

Gunnar Pattison made 12 saves in the loss.

The guys beat Pen Argyl 4-2.

The Knights actually led this one 1-0 at halftime before Catty answered with four second half goals.

PA's goal in the first came from Shomari Cleary-Kojo on an assist from Andrew Woerner. Woerner would score in the second half on an assist from Austin Leis.

Catty's goals came from Majed Salam, Steve Leon, Stone Vassa and Herman Diamacoune. Leon added two assists in the win and Diamacoune had one assist.

CHS outshot the Knights 28-4 in the contest. Gunnar Pattison made two saves and the Knights Russel Hoover was busy with 24 saves.

Girls soccer

Bangor defeated Catty 8-1.

Kylee Will score three goals in the win and Melissa Guydish added two. Allison Phillips, Megan Corby and Ciarrah Holmqvist added goals.

Catty's Hanasia Jenkins scored for the Roughs on an assist from Jade Biviano.

Pen Argyl beat Catty 4-0.

Knight goals came from Hinton (2), Olzinski (1) and McCarty (1).
