Group of people standing near home
A call of four people standing near a North Third Street home close to midnight on Oct. 1 brought police to the scene.
Officers were told the four people were waiting for the homeowner's daughter to come home.
People reported yelling
Police on Oct. 1 were summoned to the unit block of North Front Street on a complaint of people yelling.
Police said there were two people talking near a residence.
The officers reminded the individuals to keep their voices down.
Report of man banging on door
Coplay police, on Oct. 3, responded to a call of a man banging on a door in the unit block of North Front Street.
On arrival, the individual told police he had been brought from Allentown by a woman whose name he did not know. He told police the woman smashed his phone and locked him out of the apartment.
The man said he did not know where he was and that he wanted to go home.
A borough police officer transported the man to the Allentown line and sent him on his way.
Theft of jewelry reported
Police are investigating the theft of a reported $2,500 worth of jewelry stolen from a residence in the 1100 block of Center Street.
Police were told on Oct. 3 that the thefts had taken place over a period of time.
Line attached to home reported
Police on Oct. 1 responded to the unit block of North Fourth Street on a report of some kind of line attached to their fence from the neighbor's property.
The cable had been put up by the new tenant as a dog run. The landlord had it removed.
Shrimp stolen
Coplay Police responded to a report of retail theft Sept. 27.
Police were called at 8:19 a.m. to the Giant Food store. Store employees told police a young man fled the store on a bicycle with nine bags of shrimp valued at $108, police said.
Vehicle window smashed
Police were summoned to the 1100 block of Oak Street for a report of vandalism Sept. 26.
The owner of a 2007 GMC SUV stated someone overnight smashed the side window of his vehicle while it was parked at the rear of the owner's property, police said.
Window broken
A complaint of criminal mischief brought police to a residence in the 1100 block of Tapler Drive Sept. 24.
Upon arrival, police were shown a rear window at the residence that had been broken. Police said the incident is under investigation.
