Alice T. Rackus, 93, formerly of Fullerton, died Sept. 26, 2014, in Cedarbrook nursing home, South Whitehall.

Born in Millburn, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Alice (Euvrard) Thompson.

She and her husband John J. Rackus were married 47 years at the time of his death in 1994.

A member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall, earlier in life she was active in the church school's PTA and was a major fund raiser for church projects.

She was a past president of the Whitehall Women's Club, participant in the 1976 Celebration in Whitehall, and an active member of both the Civil Air Patrol and Whitehall Historical and Preservation Society.

Her survivors include a daughter Victoria R. Mihalski and her husband, James, of Allentown; sons Richard J. of Mill Valley, Calif., John F. and his wife, Lee, of Whitehall; grandchildren Jolynne Margaret, Natalee Camille, Nicholas Frederick; and brother Robert Thompson of Texas.

She was predeceased by siblings.
