Fire crews from Lower Macungie Fire Department remove sections of the skirting underneath a mobile home trailer and use a thermal imaging camera to check for heat or fire under a residence in the Red Maple Acres mobile home park, Lower Macungie Township, Oct. 3.
Firefighters from Lower Macungie and Trexlertown fire departments responded to the residence after Lehigh County 911 reported smoke in the home, possibly caused by an electrical malfunction. Fire crews found signs of burned insulation under the trailer and smoke inside the home. Fire crews shut off power to the residence and used fans to ventilate the smoke. PPL was called to the scene to check the wiring into the home. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
