Kenneth "Kenny" L. Weaver, 79, of Slatington, died on Sept. 5, 2014, at home after a short illness.

He was the husband of Anna Mae (Bauer) Weaver who died in June 2013.

Born Feb. 14, 1935, in Ormrod, he was a son of the late Oliver and Eva (Fatzinger) Weaver.

An army veteran, he was employed by the former Kern's Furniture, Slatedale, for numerous years.

Later, he was employed by Washington Township, Lehigh County, as their road supervisor until retiring in 1997.

He also served as a member of the township board of supervisors.

Since 1997, he served as a funeral assistant for Kevin E. Hunsicker Funeral Home Inc., Slatedale, and for several other funeral homes in the Lehigh Valley.

He was a Lutheran.

A life member of both the Slatedale and Emerald fire companies, he enjoyed his lawn, flower gardens, feeding the hummingbirds and working on his classic car.

He loved his companion cat, Fluffy.

His survivors include a brother, Willard O. and his wife, Ruth E. (Snyder) Weaver of Slatington; sister Eleanor German of Allentown; nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Sterling.
