The Salisbury High School cheerleaders are busy, busy, busy.
The competition squad will hold a car wash 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4 in the Salisbury High School parking lot. There will be hot dogs and baked goods to enjoy while you wait for your car to be washed.
Another thing you can do while you wait is drop off gently used clothes, shoes, blankets and other items for a clothing drive the cheerleaders are holding. Drop off times are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4 and 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 5 at the entrance to the old gym. Place items in a plastic bag and seal tightly. Shoes should be placed in a separate bag from other items. For a complete list of items they are accepting, visit the high school website and click on News.
Salisbury Middle School will hold parent visitation day Oct. 3 and the fall book fair runs Oct. 6 through 9.
On Oct. 15, all juniors will take the PSAT at no cost to the student. The test will be taken 7:30 to 11 a.m. during the normal school day.
SHS will hold health screenings Oct. 9.
All Salisbury Township schools will be closed for a teacher Professional Development Day Columbus Day, Oct. 13.
The operations committee will hold its meeting Oct. 6 and the curriculum committee will meet Oct. 13. Both are 7 p.m. in the administration building.
The monthly school board meeting is 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in the administration building.
A meeting of the Salisbury Township Planning Commission will be held 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Salisbury Township Municipal Building
The Devonshire yard waste drop off will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4 and 7.
